Meet at Palma’s Mercat de l’Olivar for a three-hour, English-language cooking class capped at 12 people. Local chefs guide you through tortilla, ceviche, chistorra, seafood paella, tapas, and dessert, with wine, soft drinks, water, ingredients, recipes, and hands-on cooking included.

“Worst experience I have ever had. I arrived 11 minutes as traffic was bad getting into Palma. You would think I had committed an immortal sin. I was virtually ignored for the rest of the duration of the class and was not invited to cook anything. Food and drinks were minimal. Interacted with other guests fine, staff would not even look me in the eye. So bad. I was in tears and left 1 hour early. Also only 5 courses not 7. Complete waste of time and bad experience for my daughters birthday surprise.”

Meet near Palma’s Olivar Market for a three-hour Spanish cooking session led by local chefs and hosts including Andreas, Chef Mily, and Amelia. You’ll help prepare dishes such as tortilla, tapas, paella, and crema catalana, then sit down to a full meal with wine, soft drinks, and water.

“This was a fun experience. You don’t cook as much as I originally thought you would. There’s one meal being made and the guests take turns doing some segments of the meal. The meson plus (meal prep) has been done in advance, so you don’t learn how to prepare the food. 3 weeks later I am yet to receive the recipe for what we did to be able to practice at home. That said, it was a fun evening with excellent hosts, and it was nice meeting the others who had selected this activity.”

Meet Deborah at Palma’s Mercat de l’Olivar for a one-hour market tour and tastings, then walk to Forn de sa Llotgeta for a three-hour, hands-on class. You’ll cook a seasonal four-course Mallorcan meal, use family recipes, taste local products, and enjoy wine in a small group of up to eight.

“This was an excellent experience in every way. To have a guide with deep knowledge of the island’s history, food culture, and culinary traditions started our week in Mallorca on the best footing. The market visit was incredible, followed by a few hours at Deborah’s impressive, feel-good studio. It was a beautiful space to prep, cook and dine. And Deborah is a great instructor. Afterwards, she gave us guidance on some out-of-the-way places to visit, including restaurants and museums. Her classes change with the seasonal produce. We had winter, and are looking forward to intend to another season in the future. We love this island!”
