Cap de Formentor: Market, Beach, and Alcudia Tour

1.Cap de Formentor: Market, Beach, and Alcudia Tour

★★★★★★★★★★4.3 · 620 reviews · 8 hours · from $69Our pick

Spend eight hours touring northern Mallorca with a multilingual guide and south-coast pickup. Browse a traditional market, walk Alcudia’s walled Old Town, swim at Formentor Beach, and take in sea-cliff views. Some departures may include a boat transfer to Port de Pollença.

“It was a very nice day trip. We had decent time at every location we visited - 2 hours in Alcudia, 1h20min at the Formentor beach and then 30 minutes at the Es Colomer viewpoint. We started at 9am from Playa de Palma and came back around 5.30pm. The only thing I didn't like is that we needed to switch the buses two times since they were collecting passengers from different locations, but in general would recommend it.”

★★★★★★★★★★4.0 · 73 reviews · 8 hours (approx.) · from $70

Spend about eight hours touring northern Mallorca by air-conditioned coach, visiting a weekly market, the Colomer viewpoint, Formentor Beach, and Port de Pollença. A multilingual guide such as Antonio or Sebastian provides commentary, while a 25 to 30-minute boat ride links Formentor with the port.

“Probably the best £34 I have ever spent, a full day of seeing the best of the north! Our host Antonio/a was wonderful she spoke so many different languages and made everyone really happy! They tour was wonderful and we got to see so many epic places! Do be careful when you get to the last stop before you get on the boat, I got seriously stung by jelly fish!!”

“Such a wonderful experience and highly recommend during your stay in Palma. We had a tour of the market, our guide was very insightful, friendly and had a wealth of knowledge about food and produce in Mallorca. We cooked some delicious dishes back at the kitchen and learnt a lot about traditional food and cooking. Such a lovely way to spend a day in Palma!”

Meet Deborah at Palma’s Mercat de l’Olivar for a one-hour market tour and tastings, then walk to Forn de sa Llotgeta for a three-hour, hands-on class. You’ll cook a seasonal four-course Mallorcan meal, use family recipes, taste local products, and enjoy wine in a small group of up to eight.

“This was an excellent experience in every way. To have a guide with deep knowledge of the island’s history, food culture, and culinary traditions started our week in Mallorca on the best footing. The market visit was incredible, followed by a few hours at Deborah’s impressive, feel-good studio. It was a beautiful space to prep, cook and dine. And Deborah is a great instructor. Afterwards, she gave us guidance on some out-of-the-way places to visit, including restaurants and museums. Her classes change with the seasonal produce. We had winter, and are looking forward to intend to another season in the future. We love this island!”
